What this site keeps, and where.
The mailing list
The only thing this site asks for is an email address, and only when you type one into the signup form and press join. It is the same list as gesture.live's. The stated purpose is GestureMIDI updates: the beta, the launch, and news about the app. Nothing else will be sent to it.
Where the address lives
Addresses are stored by MailerLite (MailerLite Limited, Ireland), which sends the mails on our behalf. This site has no database of its own and keeps no copy. Alongside the address, MailerLite records which form you used, the time of the confirming click and the IP address of that click, which is its consent record.
Double opt-in
Joining sends one confirmation mail. Until you click the link in it, the address is inactive and receives nothing. A mistyped address, or somebody else's, therefore never enters the list.
Leaving
Every mail carries an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. To have the address erased entirely rather than unsubscribed, write to info@robinvansoelen.com from that address and it is removed from MailerLite within a few days.
Analytics
Page views are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and builds no cross-site identifier. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
